Unapologetic COVERGIRL
We're watching the latest commercials for COVERGIRL's #IamWhatIMakeup and we are intrigued with 69-year-old COVERGIRL, Maye Musk.
As she says on her website, “I’m a COVERGIRL at 69 and it only took 50 years to get there!” More than just a beautiful face, Musk has two MS degrees, is a registered dietitian, and raised three children on her own, including Tesla and SpaceX founder, Elon Musk. So now we know where her son gets his talent for pushing boundaries.
Her approach to beauty is as unapologetic as she is. To celebrate her 60th birthday, she stopped coloring her hair and her modeling career took off like a SpaceX rocket.

Yet she still rocks heels and high fashion without crossing into quirky older-woman-with-big-funny glasses territory. Inspiring!
Take a look at the two CoverGirl spots featuring Musk. We like this one for Olay’s Simply Ageless Foundation in which she asks the question, “They say, at a certain age you just stop caring. I wonder what age that is?”
We’re more mixed on this spot for CoverGirl TruNaked Smoky Eyeshadow. We’re all for channeling our inner she-devil, but we have to admit, this left us feeling a little cringy.
